Safa Park has always been the go-to spot to escape the hustle bustle of the city for a breath of fresh air. The second you enter the park, you feel disconnected from the fast paced city life, and are in awe with the greenery that surrounds you!
The cherry on top of this sweet escape is the opening of The Archive. This Brownbook project involved transforming an old facilities building into a refreshing and modern contemporary Middle Eastern Library / Cafe.
Not only do you get to enjoy a day out at the park at this new hot spot, but you also get to nibble away on a delicious variety of breakfast dishes (all day). Being a huge breakfast fanatic, I was more than ecstatic to hear about their all day breakfast menu. No need to rush in the morning 🙂
If you’re looking for an inspirational spot to work, or a place to discover a new read or enjoy a good book, you will be glad to know that The Archive is the first specialized library of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa.
The fun doesn’t end there! The Archive also hosts workshops, and indoor and outdoor activities. Making it a great spot to bond with your loved ones and even learn something new 🙂 Workshops and activities include: football, yoga, boot camps, dance classes, musical performances, book launches, book clubs, artist talks, outdoor film screenings, and poetry writing.
The Archive aims to provide a platform to promote a diverse and active cultural community, nurture a new generation’s interest in literature and education, while at the same time create a space of intellectual exploration and entertainment. (Definitely the most unique concept to charm Dubai to date).
