It’s no surprise that the city of Dubai made it to the New York times list of 52 places to go in 2014! The city is buzzing with exciting launches, projects, and new endeavors. Trying to keep up with all the happenings and celebrity visits is definitely thrilling and makes every day in this city interesting.

The start of the year has already seen Tyrese Gibson and Will Smith rave about Dubai and the fun experiences this city has to offer, including skydiving, desert safaris, and private helicopter rides. Skydiving over The Palm Jumeirah is one of my most memorable moments in this city and an experience of a lifetime! Everyone who lives in Dubai needs to take time out of their routine to embrace the city’s great initiatives, events, activities, and people.

This week’s events kick off with the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon and an evening at Dubai’s largest open air art gallery, Street Night Art in Al Qouz. Street Night Art is part of the Al Qouz Project, whose aim is to create interaction between cultures, participation and creativitiy from +200 nationalities united in one city. Other events that I’m looking forward to include the Launch Party of GQ Bar in JW Marriot Marquis. This two floor fashionable night spot is set to pair delectable food with great music. Ethan Allen will also be unveiling their latest global initiative “The New Eclecticism”, which aims to add fashion, color, and a spirit of mixing things up to their story of quality, value, and style.
