{Recipe} Wide Awake Seed Bar

Hard to find time to make a healthy breakfast? This nifty, bar of power recipe will sort out the problem!

Wide Awake Seed BarRecipe from Greedy Girl’s Diet (Nadia Sawalha):

Makes 12 Bars.

Ingredients: 50 light butter; 140g oats; 3 tbsp. honey; 50g chopped almonds; 50g chopped Brazil nuts (I replaced this ingredient with macadamia); 1 tbsp. sunflower seeds; 1tbsps pumpkin seeds; 1tbsp. sesame seeds; 50g finely chopped apricots; 50g finely chopped dates; 50g desiccated coconut; 2 small very ripe bananas, mashed.

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.

  2. Lightly grease a 22cm square baking tin.

  3. Melt the butter, put it in a bowl along with all the other ingredients, and mix well.

  4. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 30-40 minutes.

  5. Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then cut into 12 bars.
